Unlike digital, film carries very real costs that reflect its rarity and artistry. Each story begins with a film cartridge, loaded into cameras that are decades old and carefully maintained. Once your day is captured, the film must be shipped, developed by a specialist, scanned frame by frame, and finally edited into a finished piece.

DOES SUPER 8MM COME WITH SOUND?
Vintage cameras do not record sound. Instead your film will be paired with carefully chosen music to bring it all together.
CAN I BOOK SUPER 8 WITHOUT PHOTOGRAPHY?
Yes! While most couples add it onto their wedding or portrait collection, Super 8 can absolutely be booked on its own. In that case, we’ll work together to design a fully custom package that fits your vision and makes sure your story is captured in the way you imagine.
CAN WE CHOOSE OUR MUSIC?
Audio is just as important as the visuals when it comes to creating a meaningful film. I carefully select music that reflects the tone of your wedding day. While I always welcome your recommendations, I can’t guarantee that your song choice will be used.
SUPER 8 VS DIGITAL VIDEO? WHAT THE DIFFERENCE?
Digital video does not quite capture the leaks of light, the stop motion feel, or the natural grain like Super 8mm. In digital videos, you have multiple angles, drone footage, and crystal clear, sharp footage. These things can be great but they don’t feel as intimate or as genuine as real film.
WHY DOES SUPER 8 COST MORE THAN DIGITAL?
Each roll of film must be purchased, shipped, developed, and scanned before editing even begins. This can be a 5-8 week process. You’re investing in a craft that is both rare and intentional, with every frame being unique.
WHAT IF THE FILM DOESN’T TURN OUT?
Film is unpredictable, and that’s part of its beauty. While I take care with every step of the process, grain, light leaks, and imperfections are what make Super 8 so special.
